Job Description:
Civil / Structural PE (Professional Engineer) needed in expansion of our Foundation Investigation Unit; currently consisting of 6 people (1 PE, 2 engineering field technicians; 1 Draftsperson; and 2 Job-Coordinator / Report-Facilitators).  The unit's focus is on "team investigation and failure analysis" of residential foundations, relating to claims and disputes (some commercial work).

Enjoy casual work environment and excellent benefits including: company paid holidays and vacation, and other flexible benefits (IRA & Health).  We have a state-of-the-art facility -- access the Internet, fax and email all from your workstation.  Flexible "project work" also available (e.g. structural design; environmental oriented (i.e. environmental audits and assessments; underground storage tanks; asbestos; hazardous wastes; industrial hygiene; drainage improvement; and soil maintenance); and business diversification projects.  We will train if necessary.  Potential opportunity for Texas branch management position in few years.

Responsibilities:
"Final Reports" (edit and review engineering field technicians' reports, final approval and sign with PE State seal stamp); "Unit-Senior-Engineer job-site visits" (to briefly interface with the property owner and insurance adjuster, and review / concur with the field tech's general assessment of the situation); and where possible,  "contribute to the overall team effort", relevant to the individual's "skill-set" and talents (e.g. project work, sales and marketing, unit management, quality control, etceteras).

Job Requirements:
Texas PE registration; civil or structural engineering degree; minimum 3 years work related experience (5 years preferred); Texas drivers license; detail oriented; professional appearance / demeanor; ability to analyze and solve complex problems; proficiency in English written and oral
communications; ability to interact with others, and team oriented.
